Workers injured by industrial `accidents (n=142) had scored significantly higher in all dimensions of mental health (aggressiveness, impulsiveness, mental instability, nervousness and depression) than the non-injured workers (n=1, 212). Other important predictors of industrial injuries were educational level, vision and THI scores Rohrer Index and drinking behavior, although the effects of the latter two factors tend to diminish in a multivariate analysis. Implications of the findings for developing industrial accident prevention¢¥, and health¢¥ promotion programs were discussed.
